Fan Casting ACOTAR: My Dream Cast for the Archeron Sisters and the Courts of Prythian

I’m about 10 years late to the A Court of Thorns and Roses party—but better late than never, right? After finally devouring the books (and yes, obsessing over the characters like any self-respecting fan would), I had to put together my dream cast. You can check out my full reviews on my Goodreads page for:

If you’re unfamiliar, ACOTAR is a romantasy series written by Sarah J. Maas. It’s full of fae drama, enemies-to-lovers tropes, found families, and steamy scenes that live rent-free in your head. The story centers on Feyre Archeron, a mortal-turned-fae who gets tangled in the politics and passions of the fae courts. There's magic, monsters, and a lot of winged males.

There was a Hulu adaptation announced ages ago, but since that's pretty much vanished into the void, I figured—why not have some fun casting it myself? And while there are a lot of good suggestions online, I wanted to find actors that match the vibe and are actually in the right age range (sorry, no shade, but 40-year-old fae warriors just don’t hit the same).

Here are my picks:

🏹 Archeron Sisters

1. Feyre Archeron
The Cursebreaker herself. Feyre is described as having blue-gray eyes and golden-brown hair. She’s vulnerable but fierce, and totally not afraid to stab you.
🧝 My pick: Kristine Froseth (b. 1995, age 29)
She has a softness to her face but also looks like she could take down the Middengard Wyrm if needed. Honestly, she gives “Princess of Carrion” energy.

2. Elain Archeron
Elain is Feyre’s gentle, flower-loving sister—delicate, sweet, and mysterious in her own way.
🌸 My pick: Hannah Dodd (b. 1995, age 29)
She gives me the perfect soft, ethereal Elain vibe. She’s beautiful but quietly powerful (and hopefully gets her moment to shine).

3. Nesta Archeron
Nesta: the queen of rage, regret, and romance novels. She's described as regal and fierce—like a flame you don’t want to get too close to.
🔥 My pick: Meghann Fahy (b. 1990, age 35)
Okay, she’s a little older than my 30-under goal, but she is Nesta. She’s got the icy stare, the attitude, and let’s be real, she could totally dominate in the House of Wind.

🌿 Spring Court

4. Tamlin
The golden-haired High Lord of the Spring Court. Big, muscled, tragic ex energy.
🌼 My pick: Zane Phillips (b. 1993, age 31)
He’s tall, handsome, and looks like he could broodingly smash some furniture. Perfect for Tamlin.

5. Lucien Vanserra
Tamlin’s emissary, Elain’s maybe-mate, and everyone's favourite political pawn. Red hair, russet eye (yes, eye), and Day Court DNA.
🦊 My pick: Hero Fiennes Tiffin (b. 1997, age 27)
Lucien’s such a layered character, and Hero has that quiet-hot thing going for him. Plus, I need his and Elain’s story already.

🌌 The Night Court (aka where the real drama lives)

6. Rhysand
The High Lord of the Night Court—dark, powerful, and impossibly beautiful with violet eyes and black hair.
💀 My pick: Jonah Hauer-King (b. 1995, age 29)
He played Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, but I totally believe he could rule both the Court of Nightmares and Dreams.

7. Amren
She’s a tiny fae with silver eyes and the soul of something ancient and terrifying.
🌙 My pick: Yerin Ha (b. 1998, age 27)
I always pictured Amren as Asian, and Yerin has the intensity and edge that makes you think, “Yeah, she could drink blood from a crystal goblet and I’d thank her.”

8. Morrigan (Mor)
Rhys’s cousin and Third in Command. Blonde, brown-eyed, and heartbreakingly beautiful. Also, an LGBTQ+ icon.
🌈 My pick: Isabel May (b. 2000, age 24)
She has that elegant but strong look that could totally charm everyone in Velaris.

9. Azriel
The brooding, silent Shadowsinger with hazel eyes and a tragic backstory (™).
🖤 My pick: Aaron Pierre (b. 1994, age 30)
Tell me those eyes aren’t hiding secrets and unspoken desires? He’s perfect.

10. Cassian
The general, the himbo, the loyal big brother figure with surprisingly deep emotional range.
🔥 My pick: Sam Corlett (b. 1996, age 29)
Okay, I’m hoping he can nail Cassian’s humour and heart—but he definitely has the Illyrian warlord look down.

That’s my dream ACOTAR cast—at least for now. Honestly, this could all change tomorrow because these characters are so vivid and layered, it’s hard to pick just one actor per role.

Have any dream cast picks of your own? Drop them in the comments or @ me—I love hearing how others picture the Inner Circle, the Courts, and the chaos.

Now if someone could please get this series actually made…
